Objective of the event

World Environment Day is celebrated as a global initiative to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable actions. To create awareness among students about the importance of ecological conservation, encourage sustainable practices, and develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

Description

Institute of Professional Excellence and Management Ghaziabad accredited by NAAC “A” Grade has celebrated “World Environment Day” in collaboration with NSS and Eco roots foundation on 5th June 2023, 12 pm onwards in Seminar Hall. The event started with an informative and interactive session by Ms. Monica Kapoor, Trustee & Director – Social Enterprise, Eco roots foundation. followed by an Oath, afterwards, an activity conducted by Environment Club and Communication Club, in two phases, in the first phase students created QR Code for the allotted trees, and in the second phase, they played the role of different trees which are in the IPEM campus. In this activity, 17 groups (a total of 34 students) from all the departments participated. The event was hosted by Samad Ali and Kanak BCom (H) 1st Year. The judges were Dr. Sweta Tyagi and Ms. Supriya Kaushik. Students were judged on the basis of the quality of their QR code, presentation, and roleplay. The first position was secured by Sanya and Doli students of BCom(H) 1st Year, Second Position was secured by Khushi and Swati BCom(H) 1st Year, Chandni and Shivam Bharti B.Ed secured Third Position. 1st Year.
